Excel courses your company can pay for with FUNDAE
FUNDAE is Spain's state training credit for companies: every year, businesses get a credit to train their employees. Our courses qualify, with a guaranteed discount of at least €420, and we handle the paperwork.
How the funding works
Four steps, and we handle the paperwork.
- 1
We check your credit
Every year the company has a training credit. We help you find out how much is available.
- 2
We notify FUNDAE
Before the course starts, we notify FUNDAE of the training with the group's details.
- 3
We deliver the training
With attendance records and all the paperwork FUNDAE requires.
- 4
You apply the discount
Once it's finished, your company (or its accountant) deducts the amount from its Social Security contributions.
How much credit your company has
It depends on your headcount and on what you paid in vocational training contributions the previous year. If the company has 6 or more employees, it pays part of the cost: private co-funding.
| Headcount | Training credit | Share paid by the company |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 5 employees | At least €420 a year | Exempt |
| 6 to 9 | 100% of the previous year's vocational training contributions | 5% |
| 10 to 49 | 75% | 10% |
| 50 to 249 | 60% | 20% |
| 250 or more | 50% | 40% |
Salary paid for class hours within the working day counts as the company's share. Sources: FUNDAE and Spanish Law 30/2015, article 9.5.

What is FUNDAE?
FUNDAE (Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo, formerly Fundación Tripartita) is Spain's state foundation for workplace training. It manages the credit companies have to train their employees, which they recover as a reduction in their Social Security contributions.
How much credit does my company have?
It depends on your headcount and on the previous year's vocational training contributions (see the table above). Companies with 1 to 5 employees have a minimum credit of €420 a year, which is why we guarantee at least that discount.
What is private co-funding?
From 6 employees upwards, the company must pay part of the course cost: from 5% to 40% depending on its size. The salary for the hours your team spends in class during working time counts towards that share, so it is often covered without paying anything extra.
Does it work the same for companies outside Barcelona?
Yes: FUNDAE is a national scheme and the rules are the same throughout Spain. In Barcelona and its metropolitan area we run the course at your offices; elsewhere in Spain, live by video call.
Does the company have to pay for the course upfront?
Yes. The company pays for the course and then applies the discount to its Social Security contributions, usually over the following months.
Who handles the paperwork?
We do. We notify FUNDAE of the course, prepare the documentation and keep attendance records. Once it's finished, your company (or its accountant) just applies the discount to its Social Security contributions.
Are private lessons funded too?
The funding is for training a company's employees. If your company is training you, yes; if you're paying for the course yourself, no.
We'll help you make the most of this year's credit
The training credit is annual. Tell us what your team needs and we'll plan it in time.
